Would the media let go so easily?..Would we ever hear the end of it from the right wing? or any of the so called, " republican leaders"?...
.But.. I wonder if the Main Stream Media..would ever let go.. would it ever stop mentioning that Hillary was "elected by a minority of the voters"...Would it ever stop? like it seems to have stopped now?
just a thought..I wonder........(please look to post 14 for update on this thought, thank you)

(2,252 posts)The republicans and their media have been treating Hillary like an unprecedented crisis for years.

The right-wing noise machine would spew incendiary rhetoric just short of advocating the violent overthrow of our government.
Trump would have egged it on until it got out of hand and they protested innocence of causing the carnage.

(841 posts)If somebody can get agitated enough over a stupid conspiracy theory like Pizzagate to go to a pizzeria armed to "investigate" matters, you can be sure that in the OP's scenario there would have been at least one major shooting by now, maybe some fatalities. Some of these Trump supporters are completely insane and dangerous.

(38,726 posts)I think Democrats would not knuckle under. Instead we would refer to the Bush 2000 incident, and then we would say it is our turn. We might help change the electoral college at some point, but we would stay behind Hillary.

(10,540 posts)the popular vote while Gore won the electoral college.
Before the election it looked like it would be Gore who might win the electoral college while Bush won the popular vote. Ultimately, of course, it turned out to be the exact opposite.

(26,974 posts)I question whether Hillary would ever actually be inaugurated. It would be treated as a Constitutional crisis. There would certainly be a constitutional ammendment to get rid of the EC soon after, and the Dems would likely support it.
There is a completely different set of standards.

(38,726 posts)and, Trump won the people vote by 3,000,000..........and two months after the election, it is proven beyond doubt that Putin himslef conspired to elect Hillary, and was actually involved himself.....now what would Trump and his supporters say?......
Keeping in mind, that Hillary would be sworn into office in about 2 weeks,, and that the Electoral College had already voted for Hillary......what would the fucking Republicans be saying now???
SO..it is proven that Putin actually tampered with the vote and the information concerning the election, possibly affecting the outcome.....(and having access to state election boards)
....NOW WHAT WOULD TRUMP AND THE ASSHOLES THAT SUPPORTE TRUMP ..SAY WITH THAT???

(26,974 posts)At some point the election would probably be declared null and void.
As I said, different standards for Democrats and Rs.
