There are 48 Democrats and Independents. Add to them (it's not realistic, but I'll play along) Graham, McCain, and Snowe. You've got 51. Name the other 16 Senate Republicans that would join forces to convict.

This of course assumes that there are 24 republican house members that would vote with 100 percent of House members to impeach.

Yes, the margins are impeachment proof.

23. You may be misreading Congressional repubs antipathy to Trump

Was he the first choice of most elected repubs? Absolutely not. Maybe not even the tenth choice.

But he got more votes than all of the repub candidates for House combined. They will all be standing for re-election in two years. Any one of them that goes after Trump will face a primary opponent.

They will not rock the boat.
