Donald Trump's comments about hacking and the intelligence community don't mesh with things he actually saidMATTHEW ROZSA
President-elect Donald Trump greeted morning visitors to his infamous Twitter stream with one of his ubiquitous tantrums on Monday morning. This time they concerned allegations of Russian hacking.

Can you imagine if the election results were the opposite and WE tried to play the Russia/CIA card. It would be called conspiracy theory!

Unless you catch "hackers" in the act, it is very hard to determine who was doing the hacking. Why wasn't this brought up before election?

Although Trump characterized the discussion of Russias alleged hacking as a partisan move, Republican security experts including Arizona Sen. John McCain and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham have both agreed with the White House and intelligence communitys consensus that Russia was responsible for hacking the Democratic National Committee.
Similarly, although Trump claimed to now know why the issue hadnt been raised before Election Day, he was, in fact, directly asked about the hacking during his Oct. 19 presidential debate with Hillary Clinton.

I will tell you this, Russia: If youre listening, I hope youre able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, the Republican nominee said at a news conference in Florida. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.
.
Trumps comments set off an immediate uproar from the Clinton campaign, which blasted the remarks as a threat to national security.
This has to be the first time that a major presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against his political opponent, Hillary for America policy adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement. "Thats not hyperbole, those are just the facts. This has gone from being a matter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue."
I find those kinds of statements to be totally outrageous because youve got now a presidential candidate who is, in fact, asking the Russians to engage in American politics, said former CIA Director Leon Panetta, a Clinton surrogate. I just think thats beyond the pale.

(15,508 posts)3. We are at the point now with Trump that facts no longer matter.
Nothing is going to happen to Trump no matter what he says and does. The Billionaires boys club are taking new management positions and are entrenched. Voting if it is ever allowed to happen again, violence, protest will not get rid of this mess. It is going to take economic collapse, which may not be that far away, to get rid this particular group of bad actors, then expect more chaos.

I fear he may be directly complicit in Russian interference. I want to know what exactly is going on with the server at Trump Tower that regularly communicates with Moscow.

Yes they need to investigate all communication between Trump and Russia.
