Imagine tables turned, Trump won the popular vote and lost the electoral college. He calls for

a recount in swing states. The media would be cheering him on, reporting all the places where more votes were recorded than people who actually showed up to vote. They'd be talking about all the double votes. They'd be talking about all the rejected votes and scrubbed rolls. Trump would be constantly screaming about crooked Hillary and all the cheating and lying etc..... People would be out in the streets ready to fight. They'd be at the election headquarters causing havoc egged on by the press and allowed to be there without any harm coming to them.

Why no interviews with the tech scientists who say the results are impossible? Why not tell about the discrepancies?

WE ALL KNOW WE'D BE HEARING ABOUT IT 24/7 IF THE TABLES WERE TURNED!

Makes me sick.

1. Not much of a story...The tech scientists who were "supsicious" have already commented:

"Were this year’s deviations from pre-election polls the results of a cyberattack? Probably not. I believe the most likely explanation is that the polls were systematically wrong, rather than that the election was hacked."

Other scientists weighted in too:

"Some data scientists and political statisticians, including FiveThirtyEight’s Nate Silver and The New York Times’ Nate Cohn, cast doubt on the claims, which compared voting in counties that used paper ballots with those that used electronic machines. Silver and Cohn said the suspicious results disappear when controlling for demographic factors like race and education"

to say that he doesn't believe either of these unlikely explanations is overwhelmingly more likely than the other, then says that the only way to know is do a thorough recount, which he urged candidates to initiate right away.

10. Um, so why are Republicans filing lawsuits to stop all the recounts?

If it's a nothingburger, they should welcome the recounts to cement their victory instead of leaving these questions hanging.

People here would be complaining that he is wasting money on a recount, instead of admitting defeat.

hate crimes, nazi rhetoric/normalization, emboldened racists acting out in public, etc.
Oh wait...we got that regardless.

5. ... and we'd be saying that not accepting the vote is undermining the Constitution.

Yeah, we were 12 hours away from that scenario, and DU made their position really clear. And, we're hypocrites.

and lost the popular vote. The results in CA would have reinforced her lead.

But yes, I understand the point of your post in that Trump's people would NEVER have accepted it had the impossible situation of her winning the EC and the popular vote been the reality.

In fact, even if there is a miracle and enough votes flip in the recount and/or enough faithless electors flip to her, Trump supporters STILL won't accept it. You can bet your bottom dollar on that.

But I truly believe in the concept that if the laws can't work for the worst of us, they can't work for the best of us. If positions were reversed, I would be supporting it being looked into. Considering how I feel about Trump, I definitely wouldn't personally contribute to the recount effort (as I did for Stein), but I would support it happening nonetheless.

Can you imagine all of the news stories a Trump Presidency will bring? Liberal media, my ass.
