For the most part, DUers rejected their arguments soundly.

4. I could not say that all Trump voters are racists. No one could.

But he obviously was calling on racist whites to support him. He did not even bother with Reagan's coded language. Trump did everything but wear a sheet.

There have actually been quite a few threads implying that ALL rural white voters (whether they voted for Trump or not) of being racists. As a rural white voter who voted for Clinton and Obama twice (I'm an Independent swing voter who has voted exclusively for Democrats for the last decade, roughly.), I find it offensive.

Some of the rural white voters on this site find that type of rhetoric extremely offensive just like I found Trump's rhetoric offensive. And regarding Trump's voters...there were MILLIONS of people who voted for him...for many reasons. I personally know some people who voted for him and I KNOW they are not racists. They had horrible judgement, was too gullible, dumb, lacked forethought, were inconsiderate, didn't think of the impact on others...a whole lot of things...but they are NOT racists. To be a racist you need to have a hateful INTENT. Most of Trump's voters did not have any such thing. Yes, all of the actual racists and scumbag hate groups voted for him...but thank God they are not a majority...they are just extremely LOUD and disgusting.

It's getting to the point where I do NOT feel welcome at this site anymore. If the Democratic Party is going to become minority exclusive and hate on all white people that makes it no better than Trump or the alt right. Stereotyping entire swaths of voters is bigotry, period, and too much of that is happening at this site. I don't condone bigotry from Trump and I'm not going to condone it here.

I think if that as passive racism. It doesn't affect someone, so they can let it go. The active and aggressive racists are much worse of course.

Aggressive racist is to first degree murderer as passive racist is to non-negligent manslaughterer I suppose.

That said - I feel you and want to understand better.

12. If you are white and not a racist and don't surround yourself with racists...

It isn't even on your radar. You may hear reference to it but since you don't see if you don't realize it's as big of a problem as it is. If you are a target of racism you see it regularly, probably daily in some way. And if you are very sensitive to it you may also expect to see it and begin seeing and assuming it places where it's not actually there. I think some of that is what is going on at this site.

After the last two days I just don't even feel like voting anymore, I really don't.

All Trump voters decided that Trump's bigotry and misogyny were not deal killers.

And that makes every single fucking one of them shitty human beings.

A song about how simple-minded disrespectful Democrats (they mean PoC and women) do something called identity politics that makes the straight, white and male people very very sad, they have the Straight, White and Male Blues.
