Big Picture or how I'm interpeting our days ahead....

And of course it is not pretty.

But I've come to the conclusion that I just can't care about it anymore. Not that I don't care-it just is doing me-and many others-physical & mental harm to do so.

And I've also come to the conclusion that no amount of rhetoric blowback or protest is going to amount to anything.

The people who are in charge are obviously mentally ill. Through brainwashing or mass hysteria there is no "rational" process to follow. So a rational person has no chance of keeping abreast or ever being consequential.

Other than to follow your own normal moral compass & show compassion when you can. Practice what you preach-but do not expect to enlighten any Trump follower.

There is a end game light at the end of the tunnel what have you. That is this small kernel of truth- it is a cycle & it will run its course.

Only then will the curtain be lifted-when jobs promised never appear. When the wars start because a madman does what a madman does-well they will have to learn or die. As we all will. Only then will we have a common cause-survival. As a nation or just humans how far who knows.

If you ignore the idiocy-as best possible-life can be fairly normal. If you try to follow this you will be driven mad or ill from the effort.
That is my take....

And I wrote that just now without hearing his take. So I'll take it as a great compliment.

But the fact I don't get any "liberal" or sane talk radio-in Portland Oregon-speaks volumes.

Our voices have been gutted nationwide.

This is one of the best statements I have ever read on moving forward. I agree with every one of them except the cycle to change anytime soon. Over the past 50 years our education systems have been gutted so much that we cannot result in anything but an ignorant voting public. With the choice of DeVos to be secretary of education, I do not see this changing anytime soon.

I refuse to let this affect my physical and mental health--if it does they have already won.

I agree, I came to a similar conclusion shortly after the election, to keep from living in despair and hopelessness. I can't stay in that depressed spot or I will become sick. There really is no way to talk reason to people who voted for Trump, their universe has different realities. So without the ability to engage in rational discussion, and no hope for compromise from Trump's people, we really don't have much to work with right now. It might be easier to have a discussion with someone whose language I don't speak, so long as we are living in the same reality.

I have a suspicion that there will be some dust-ups between Trump and the mainstream Rs at some point. Most of them are licking his boots now, but he will step on their toes, and if they say "ouch", they'll have hell to pay. Let his minions rise up and go after them with their torches and pitch forks. Not my deal.

They will use drumph's tactics of bait and switch again and again.

The msm has proved incapable of addressing issues as they switched rapidly from one drumph stunt to the next.

Ironically a college education will not budge awareness levels as they will likely be private and more expensive. Possibly religiously over-watched. Keeping graduates in deep debt and compliant.

When jobs fail to appear magically from overseas there will be no outcry. Iowa had 2% unemployment and went for drumph.

Just expect more RW drivel scandals and campaigns to denigrate the DP and its candidate.

It will be depressing - as bad as anything ever seen since the Civil War.

Remind them so often that when they see us coming they will be conditioned to ask the question without the prompt. I'm going to do it with some guys on my softball team. We're friends but rather than tell them I think they are stupid I'll let them discover the fact on their own. They won so let them tell us about all the good shit that is happening rather than letting them go back to sleep.
