Related: About this forumCan we reintroduce a term from way back? Twit is a noun referring to a stupid or foolish person
People who's logic escaped them where once called "twits"; from Merriam-Webster-- a silly annoying person : fool.
First use 1528
I think this is a most appropriate term for people who use "twitter" to make asses of themselves.
Donald Trump the embodiment of a "twit" and should be so referred to from hence forth.

(10,653 posts)4. I'd also like to revive "to blither"
as in, to speak nothing but nonsense. The word is now only used in the phrase "blithering idiot", but I can see how it will be useful in the near future. As in, "Ms Conway blithered today...."
