The Strategic Institute for Intersectional Policy (SIIP) has called for an immediate halt to all efforts related to the transfer of power between the Obama Administration and the Trump Campaign. This call came after a recent analysis revealed that there is strong evidence to suggest that Donald Trump and the members of his campaign intentionally engaged in voter suppression tactics in an attempt to alter the results of the 2016 Presidential Election. Further, the strategic deployment of voter suppression tactics was designed, refined and implemented over the course of a number of years by a network of organizations and individuals attempting to secure power for the alt-right.
----------------------------
The Alt-rights checklist to take control of the federal government without the use of military force was as follows:
- Infiltrate Congress Achieved 2010
- Eliminate Funding Restrictions Achieved 2010
- Take Control of the RNC Achieved in 2011
- Kill Voting Protections Achieved in 2013
- Take Control of Congress Achieved in 2014
- Take Control of the Supreme Court Achieved if 1) Obama administration doesnt successfully counter efforts to delay appointment and 2) if the Republican candidate secures the Presidency
- Take Control of the Presidency Goal:2016
By 2016, all that was left for the alt-right to achieve a full takeover of the government of the United States - without firing one shot - was gaining control of the Presidency.

(54,770 posts)If courts determine halting the "transfer of power " to Trump is proper, that's one thing. But the article is BS.
Stellar
(5,644 posts)but I guess that's OK with you also?
When it comes to Trump and his KKKlansmen, I say all is fair in love and war.

(5,417 posts)We have had a peaceful transition of power for 200+ years, and I hope it continues for another 200 years.
Donald Trump won the election, and in 2 months, he will be the president. In 4 years, lets hope somebody good runs against him, and then we can kick him out of the office.

(7,004 posts)As far as your dismissal of the article as bs, I wouldn't have expected anything else from someone who thinks W won fair and square.

FBI to pursue Trump over his ties to Russia
http://tinyurl.com/z5q2vc9
It turns out the FISA warrant in question was granted back in October, but as has been his pattern, FBI Director James Comey made a point of keeping that information secret even as he tried and failed to air Hillary Clintons ultimately non-existent dirty laundry. The FBI in particular is using the warrant to pursue Donald Trumps private server, which computer scientists have determined is for secret direct communication with the largest bank in Russia.
This has been ongoing but no doubt the Puke infested FBI is dragging its feet.

(7,004 posts)You had the link ready to go. How many times have you used that slam in a disingenuous attempt to discredit posters who are distressed about what has happened?

(27,714 posts)Did it take you four minutes to refresh the thread? Or maybe you think that secret forces can control the time stamps on DU posts?

I wish that I had thought of it for my first reply, but it wasn't until later when I was joking about how wacky some people had become over the election that it struck me. Ah... but then the thread had rightfully dropped into obscurity and it seemed like I would just be piling on. Then you decided to give me the excuse. Finding the clip took about ten seconds (first hit with "turn the machines back on" .
For the record - the OP is worthy of nothing but contempt and derision. Some nut with a blog at Huffington pretends that she's reporting about a "report" from an "institute" (that is really just her own work re-branded)... and you find it to be credible?
In barely two weeks were supposed to identify everyone who had their vote suppressed and give them a chance to vote? Based on the "authority" of the President and a minority in Congress to suspend the electoral college? A crime that has supposedly been happening for years is going to proven, prosecuted, and adjudicated (with remediation actions) in two weeks when we've gotten nowhere in identifying this upcoming crime while controlling the justice department/FBI/etc. for years?
There is zero chance of keeping Trump from taking office apart from the recounts showing something that's almost impossible. This person's fantasy should have stayed in her head. It makes her (and anyone repeating it as a legitimate option) look ridiculous. It doesn't belong on DU outside of the creative speculation group.
The most painful part of this election cycle (apart from losing of course) has been watching so many of our own start to act exactly as we expected Trumpers to act when he lost. We were all prepared for unending unhinged irrationality from the far right... only to end up watching their schadenfreude instead. Please stop giving them ammunition.

The far-right continued testing the boundaries of political behavior through the 1990s as the election of Democrat Bill Clinton put the Republicans on the defensive. Attack campaigns increased in prevalence and pundits that engaged in political attacks also increased their value in both the public eye and within the Republican party. Legal attacks against Democrats such as the Clintons also because a widely-used tactic to advance the right-wing agenda. Among those that gained prominence for their methods of attack were Kellyanne Fitzpatrick (Conway), George T. Conway III, Matt Drudge and Andrew Breitbart."
