(1,586 posts)My brother has had a hearing deficiency all of his life. In younger years he would foul a baseball off a bat and describe it as a "kick" rather than the customary "tick." Trump may have had a similar circumstance in his youth.

(62,444 posts)Long "e" going into "g" gets turned into a short "i" in Philly
"Iggles" instead of "Eagles"
"Liggle" instead of "legal"
"Lig" instead of "league"
(meanwhile, Fluffians (Philadelphians) wonder 'what do you mean 'instead of'')

(49,389 posts)Trump seems to have mashed 'big time'
and 'major league' into a nonsensical
word salad smorgasborg.
He was more right with Bigly.

(56,198 posts)if you listen closely, you can hear a very faint "g". it's hard to hear because he emphasizes the "big" and is very soft on the "league". if you miss the "g", it sounds like "bigly".
but that's not what he's saying, and given that he clearly *does* say "big league" a lot, it's hard to argue that he's making a very similar-sounding grammatical mistake instead of merely swallowing the "g" that he already under-emphasizes.
in any event, there's no mistaking things like "bad hombres" and "such a nasty woman" or any of the hundreds of other crazy, rotten things he's said....
