2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWOW!!! 5/5 Clean Sweep. This Tuesday was a Super Duper Tuesday for Team Clinton
Gotta give it to her...she and her campaign have been rightly criticized for many things but tonight was absolutely huge for Hillary Clinton. Coming off of last week's shock loss in Michigan, the media once again was on the gloom and doom train for her campaign and she went ahead and won all 5 states tonight. The political junkie in me is just absolutely fascinated by it. The delegate math is virtually insurmountable after tonight given there are no winner take all states. When Maryland votes in April I'm still not sure who I will root for but at this point it feels like my vote won't make much of a difference at that point. The writing is pretty much on the wall after tonight.
Bernie Sanders need not hang his head, nor his supporters. He took me from a solid Hillary Clinton supporter to being undecided. Made me really look at her record, her past stances, her Wall Street ties, all of which make me very uncomfortable, but if she's the Democratic nominee (which after tonight I can't see how she is not) then I will be all in for her.

(12,081 posts)And the rest of the race will be more in favor of Bernie than Hillary. Bernie survived losing the south and now on to the rest of the country including WA. I can't wait til March 26. Bernie is in this until the convention and so are we his supporters.

(61,033 posts)Hillary lives in New York and served in the Senate for that state with a huge minority demographic.
California also has a huge minority population so I don't think Sanders will win there either.

(5,764 posts)...they really landed a good punch against progressivism tonight. Just watch them celebrate their big step towards an ever more rightward direction for the Democratic Party.
They're so giddy about it.
