So anyone celebrating Vesak and when is it?

I'm not really doing anything, but I was wondering if anyone else was or if their local Buddhist center was? Mine is holding daily mediation in honor of the event. Probably one of the better ways to honor the Buddha. I doubt he would be all that into people turning it into Christmas.

As for when it is, I've heard conflicting accounts which is why I ask. I've heard it's normally in May, but a Buddhist forum I post on is closed in honor of the holiday and won't be up till the 5th, so maybe I'm wrong.

For anyone who doesn't know, because I didn't until I looked it up. it is the celebration of the Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and death.

It is usually observed during the first full moon in May.

I haven't been to a Vesak ceremony yet, but I hope to in the future.
