Just wanted to say hello and to see how you all are doing.

I'm trying to get used to DU4, as are all of us I suppose.

It's not too terrible but I struggle with change.

1. Hello My Friend

I miss my clutch and my cassette player. I miss having to manually open a garage door. I’ll soon miss a printed newspaper. I miss having to calculate without a calculator. I miss being broken down on the side of a highway without a phone. Ah, the good old days.

I remember being broke down without a phone. Had to walk to the nearest house to use their phone. I do NOT miss that lol

4. I had to figure out how to get "My Stuff" to stop blinking

It was super annoying, but I went to my account and changed it to just turn and stay yellow.

Thought I lost my sig line stick man. Another DUer said they could see him so all is right again.

Haven't logged in on my desktop yet.

5. Well howdy back yerself.

Loning as usual - got back from a long hike up in my favorite drainage. Despite gorgeous weather, didn't see another soul.

Yep, this new version will take some time getting used to. Can't seem to get a decent dialogue box to post from on the desktop.

After years of lurking, I finally took the plunge and I've just joined DU. Although I have watched the dialogue anonymously, I've truly appreciated this forum and the information, solace and wit it provides in these troubling times. 14. I'm doing surprisingly fine!

Never thought to attribute it to my loner mentality. I mean, yeah, I hate change at least as much as the next guy. But let me tell you a story. This week, my company is getting rid of three old programs (not just any programs, either, but the three biggies: Estimating, Billing, and Job Tracking) and replacing them with one big brand new overall program where we can do all of it. Predictably, people are PISSED. It’s been up for about an hour and a half and god don’t they hate the new program. But me? I am happy to use whatever new program they throw at us if it helps me to keep working from home. I will power through that shit. Because I am NOT going back to the office! LOL.

So yeah, DU got a new interface and some altered pathways to the exact same shit? I’m cool with that. No, pro, blaymo.
