And if you can get in touch with your county office of aging inquire about handicap housing.

That makes me afraid we will lose the house not to mention they never put her name on the deed so I am also worried that the CC company as well as the hospitals will go after the house forcing us out. That would hurt us bad as the rents in this area are high as its a military town.

(6,607 posts)This is what I did professionally when I worked with people with disabilities needing assistance in Minnesota, but it works for other states if you know where to start. There is hope out there, but it takes a little work. Computers and phones are great helps.

It's hard enough to lose a sibling but to now be unsure of your own housing because of it isn't helpful. I hope that everything works out in a good way for both of you.
