Thank you for your kind post over the loss of my wife.
It was posted in Veterans group thank you Dash one bravo in posting . Yet over these last few days I would read D.U. Community members comments and we thank you all for your kindness.

Why wouldn’t people here care about you and what you’re going through now?
Most of us can’t be physically by your side at a time like this, but we can share a vigil and send encouragement and sympathy and support your way. And we can be here to listen when you need to unburden.
I always get a sense of comfort and reassurance when I remember what our own Skittles posted here, once upon a time, and what it’s meant to me during unsettling times: “someone’s always here.”
Comes as quite a shock since we have always enjoyed your stories about your understanding wife, the boys and the pups. So it's a loss for us, too. Hang in there and please know that we're thinking of you, the boys and the pups and we're here for you, always.

Our own and you are most certainly that. It extends to your family that you share with us so we share in your loss and grieving.

I was devastated at the news and though I don't know how much sympathy helps, I do think the caring nature of a community reaching out just might. You are in my thoughts, along with your two-legged and four-legged "children."
I lit a candle for your dear beloved and hope you all find peace of mind and comfort.
Reading your posts over the years, it was apparent that your love for each other was absolutely amazing with a deep bond.
May you take comfort in knowing that we are sharing in your grief. Please let us (DU Community) know if you need anything.

I, like so many others here, have enjoyed and looked forward to your stories over the years. They exuded warmth, love, humor and gave us a small glimpse into you and your world. We loved what we saw and loved you for your wonderful generosity of sharing with us.
My heart breaks for your loss. I lost my husband this past January and so feel your pain. You’re sons lost their Mother, and that’s a real tough one. Take care of each other through this time of grief and mourning.
My love and best wishes for peace and comfort to you, the boys, the pups and all who love her and feel the loss.

This is the 1st I'm hearing of this. I am so saddened for you and your family. From what I see/read you have a great family bond and will pull through this tough time.
