Bereavement
Related: About this forumMy cousin died today.
Her mom died a few months back. I’m so sad for my uncle,(91) but I’m so sad for our family. My cousin had advanced kidney disease and had a recent transplant. Her brother gave his. So proud of him and so sad my friend, my cousin is gone.

(124,957 posts)relationship to them has changed one more time. And it is so true. I think if the good times with my mom all the time and she has been gone 6 years.
It is changed again. And maybe I’ll get lucky and dream of her, but otherwise it is just memories on repeat. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll cherish the memories. With every death of a loved one, you just wish for more time...

(64,316 posts)It may sound cliche, but please remember to breathe deeply to stay grounded, eat to stay strong, and sleep to rejuvenate.
Grieving is very hard work, physically, as well as psychologically, and emotionally.

The last I heard she was about to be released from the hospital to go home. Long haul. I’ve been away, so not there for her. It makes me sadder still. Anyway thanks for your kindness, I’m leaning in.
