Impressive lightning bolt hit somewhere around Ahwahnee the town or the South Entrance (just guessing the location)

4. was tracking the lighting via lightning maps and fresNO was getting pounded .

the hired person who takes me shopping said his truck got wet and a source at the local seinior center said there was sprinkles there and on her way home . my worker lost power due to "weather " for 2 hours yestery. load spill, no? i use goes west and lighning page to detect lightning.

5. You know, PG&E never says why power goes out

Could be a tree falling, lightning, fires, drivers, you name it, but they won’t.

Haven’t seen any red flag warnings but they do put their breakers on “sensitive” during fire season, so, after some outages begin, you’ll see choppers looking for downed lines etc. Most likely woodpeckers. But we’ll never know.

I think that an overload is unlikely in the mountains. More likely an old transformer gone bye bye. Just guessing.
