Scary hot day

Thirty eight degrees C. 30km winds and half of Victoria is under severe fire alert, especially the west and NW. Nothing much going on in my area apart from a few trees down but it could change quickly.

A cool change and maybe a storm is about an hour away and I'm about to take Gibby my dog out and hose her down. At least we don't seem to be in any danger.

In Montana, the southern part around the mountains, we're not really having winter. It stays near freezing with spells in the 50s and 60s F. Most of the ski resorts are in trouble, not enough snow for much of anything. Now NW Canada, those fires should be out by now.

From a DUer who said winter was very mild this year.

It seems worldwide weather has been pretty wild for a few months. I always look forward to Autumn where it's generally more settled and calm.

On a side note, I watched most of the BBC's 'End day' last night. I hope it's not prophetic. I got up to the bit when Berlin was hit by an asteroid, so I might just turn the fan up and finish watching it.

I'll check it out. I think about you often, I do a global weather check every morning and, when I look at Australia, I think about my fellow DUer near the southern tip.
