This winter storm hitting the East Coast is fierce.

Last edited Mon Dec 11, 2023, 08:23 AM - Edit history (1)

I lost power around midnight, but the rain and wind are quite something. Before I lost power, and therefore my weather station base unit, I was well over 2 inches and climbing rapidly.

Update. Power has been restored and we got 3.7 inches of rain.

No such losses here in southern MD, rain and some wind here now, 'snow' may begin 6 a.m.

Alas for all our beautiful snow; but I hope it’s all off the trees before the wind gets here.

Good luck, nutmegger.

Been raining all day. Slow, steady rain. Windy the next couple of days so I hear.

Hope you get your power back soon.

The forecast was for a change to snow when the temps drop overnight, but it's still raining now and I'm hoping it doesn't get cold enough for snow. And it's supposed to warm up later in the week.

Looks like a heavy snow out there.Forecast includes winds and possible power outages. So glad I got new batteries for my lantern. Stay safe everyone.
