Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Hodgdon Meadow Campground, Crane Flat, Crane Flat Campground and
Gin Flat.

IIRC, these are on Highway 120, as you would go to Tioga Pass or Groveland.

As for the Merced River, the valley is 4000 ft. in elevation (Half Dome is 8800). So, the Merced drops about 1300 ft. to Mariposa, and 2700 ft. more to the valley. Expect roads to be a mess due to runoff. The part of Highway 49 where it levels out in the Merced direction is sometimes flooded.
