Up in the NW? It's also COLD. Between 0 and +20F much of the week. There's a big blob or arctic air passing into the main portion of the continent, really odd configuration.

4. It's only getting...

My attention, at this point, because this is the first cold weather we've had so far, this weather should have come about four weeks ago.

I'll start being concerned when it gets below 0, which may not be too far into the future. The bitter cold, when around long enough, kills bark beetles so I'm okay with a few weeks of it. I have shelter and clothing to withstand it so let 'er rip.
