Tonight is the Hunter's Full Moon

For us in the Northern Hemisphere, the bright, round full moon rises in the east around sunset tonight … and then again for several more nights in a row. This is the full moon after the Harvest Moon, called the Hunter’s Moon in the Northern Hemisphere. As seen from the northern part of the globe, there's a shorter-than-usual time between successive moonrises on these nights, several nights of full-looking moons in twilight skies.

The field near me was so awash in moonglow that it looked like it was blanketed in a light snow or frost.
