Moonlight will hinder the Perseid meteors in 2022
The peak mornings for 2022’s Perseid meteor shower are August 11, 12 and 13. But – unfortunately – this year a full moon will interfere. The instant of full moon will be 1:36 UTC on August 12. That means we’ll have a full or nearly full moon for all of the Perseids’ peak mornings.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t watch the Perseids in 2022. Here’s how to minimize the moon and optimize the 2022 Perseids.
