Ugh! Pumpkin Orange Moon High in the Sky

At 3:30 I noticed it was a bit hazy out but now, well before it gets to the horizon, the moon is deep orange... it's going to be a two pack a day smoky today. Might wear a mask outside.

It's also why the comet is so faint in the early evening.

And soon, it will be a strong tequila sunrise, no clouds just smoke.

Where you are, probably a good idea.

Some days, here in western Montana, even the nearby mountains not visible and there's an obvious haze between my window and the closest trees and houses, other days the mountains are visible and you can tell their distance by how dark the silhouette appears. That's how I determine my outdoor activities for the day.
