The remnants of a tropical system spinning over the Carolinas will deliver cloudy, humid and breezy conditions to the D.C. area on Tuesday.

7News First Alert Senior Meteorologist Brian van de Graaff said isolated showers and wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour are expected, with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.

He said morning commuters should prepare for possible travel impacts following some showers and sprinkles overnight.

While steady rain is not likely until the evening, plan for areas of low clouds and chances of drizzle or mist throughout the day. Lows will hover in the upper 60s.
