1. The Pope is a mixed bag of backwards and enlightened

He's terrible on women's issues and gay rights. He's good on economics and the environment (in regards to climate change). If people would just take a step back and look at his views objectively they'd see both good stuff and bad stuff as far as his politics go. He's just a regular Joe who happens to hold a very powerful position. Take away the religion and he's probably a mid level manager at some factory.

2. Yes, he's right on climate change, but I'm not sure where else he's got the science right.

He's anti-GMO, he's anti-birth control, he's anti-gay parents. Oh, maybe he is pro-vaccine. I don't know. He's an improvement over the last guy, but not by that much, despite all the hype.

Began in the Dark Ages, set down arbitrary rules they pulled out of their ass, and covered for some of the most corrupt people imaginable.

Francis is an improvement over Pope Rat, but is still a product of a flawed system.
