The anti-science crowd is at it again.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10141044815I'm too tired to bother, but I'm also frustrated enough to make sure the pain is shared.

And one of DU's favorite anti-vax, anti-GMO, anti-science chemophobes doubles up on it.

And they're pushing more excuses so they can just ignore what they want to ignore.

I can't believe I ever wasted my time trying to discuss anything with this individual.
I mean, who knew that an herbicide would affect the leaves?
Shocking? I had no idea.
Umm. Wait.
I am an idiot, for ever conversing with this individual.

(35,773 posts)2. The thread linked here goes bizarro quickly.
It makes Facebook look sane by comparison.

With some, common sense left the building a long time ago and they're probably broken beyond repair.

Don't forget all the hysterics about "frankenfoods," (BTW, that mean Al Franken's food?) "poison," "kills all the bees/butterflies," etc, etc.

New thread, using a "Natural News" article and politicians as a "source."

is a perfect example of why I don't visit GD very often. The nutso anti-science crowd seems in the majority at DU nowadays (or at least in GD), and it makes us all look like morons.

It's funny how the only thing they ever do with the actual science is attempt to tear down the scientists, but when you bring up the reality that the authors of their propaganda are out of their league and have long histories of pushing scams, well, that's just not fair!
