"Raw milk" woo ditwits are trying to get the courts to let them die...
Pasterization was invented for a damn good reason, too many people caught terrible diseases from "raw milk."
The raw milk advocates brag about how their milk is "better" than pasteurized milk, but they never can back up their claims.
Sounds like the "vaccines cause autism" advocates, doesn't it?
Raw milk supporters petitioning Supreme Court
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Supporters of unpasteurized milk are petitioning the Wisconsin Supreme Court to decide whether a person has a constitutional right to purchase and consume raw milk.
Food rights activist Gayle Loiselle, of Dousman, says the plaintiffs believe people have a right to choose what they consume and where it comes from, and that dairy farmers who sell unpasteurized milk have a right to sell directly to consumers.
The petitions are the result of a state appeals court ruling against Mark and Petra Zinniker, dairy farmers in Walworth County, and Grassway Organics Farm Store in New Holstein.
The Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1reWjAv ) says another petition was filed this summer in a case involving dairy farmer Vernon Hershberger of Loganville.
State law generally prohibits the sale of unpasteurized milk to the public because it may carry bacteria that can cause food-borne illnesses.

Do these dumb bunnies ever consider WHY things become law in the 1st place?
It's like Roe vs Wade ..... can anti-choice people not ask themselves WHY abortion became legal? There's a reason, y'know.
Can there possibly be a reason why all children were vaccinated in public schools? (I remember those sugar cubes) What could it be?
I wonder why drinking water has to be tested....hmmmm Why would the government require such a thing????

(12,869 posts)people wipe down their grocery carts to kill bacteria, others want to preserve the bacteria in the food they eat.

(46,798 posts)"Raw milk" sellers don't have to put in pasteurization equipment, and I've seen how raw milk is like most other brands of "organic" milk, as much as 2-3 times the price of normal dairy milk.

(64,101 posts)I was reading about the "baby milk" sold in China, that was diluted and then altered with something white.
I wonder how many babies died from that shit!

(16,230 posts)Legalizing it all isn't a "middle ground", it's an abandonment of public health regulations.

(2,188 posts)Sorry, but I have always had a libertarian side, and I'm not ashamed of it. Paul is too out there, and is a right-leaning libertarian. I am also for government programs, and he is not.

(41,303 posts)I knew someone who had become seriously ill when younger through drinking raw milk and getting brucellosis. She spent months in hospital, and was never quite the same again. This used to happen quite a lot in many parts of the world, because of lack of knowledge and poor regulation of agriculture; but why would anyone WANT to risk their own and their children's health in that way?!
