"TJs says their store branded products are free of GMOs. The GMOphobes are complaining that they cannot independently verify (and raise the prices) of the TJs branded GMO free foods. Megan Westgate, the Executive Director of the non profit, Non-GMO Project (I just giggled) thinks TJs should pay a fee to the Non-GMO Project to verify these products. TJs would have a label saying the products they know are free of GMOs are free of GMOs.

Of course, were TJs to submit to this verification (price hike) it would really be bad for the CEOs on the board of Non-GMO Project, all of whom sell organic food that is being undercut by TJs low prices.

The sad thing is I don't think any of the foot soldiers in the Organic Army are capable of doing this math for themselves.
