(27,274 posts)The church leaders wanted to talk to him first about the glory of God and Jesus.
The precher says to the alien, I want you to know Jesus Christ.
The alien says, I know all about Jesus. He came to our planet and made us better. We help each other, nobody is poor and we have no wars. He was a wonderful teacher and leader. We are good because of him. We praised him then and still do.
What did he do for you?

(1,820 posts)YAHWEH raped Mary with his "Holy Spirit", inseminating her with "YAHWEH's" "Word", giving birth to himself as his "Word" become flesh; a.k.a. "Christ", to save mankind from himself.
Fuck all that bullshit.
Jesus is not alright with me.
Mythology empowers by revealing and informing.
Religion destroys by obscuring and deceiving.

(10,252 posts)There is a very big difference between what Jesus is reputed to have said, and what the Christian dogma says about him. For example, the doctrine of the trinity is a bit of sophistry that was invented in 325 AD at the 1st council of Nicea, and anyone who didn't accept was labeled a heretic.

Thanks for the reply.
As far as the reputation of "Jesus", my personal assessment remains unchanged.
The moral of the stories for me are all the same.
Principles over precepts.
Love the ones that you are with, start with one's self.
No need to rinse, just repeat!
Happy Sunday!
I'm celebrating the fact that no one is, a god damned thing!!!
