When I was a little kid, I loved my matryoshka dolls - you know, those little Russian nesting dolls that fit inside each other. I decided to look on the Internet for some to buy for my little great-granddaughter.
That's when I came across Life of Jesus nesting dolls - and realized that, holy crap, one of the Jesuses has nail holes in his palms! I ordered a set of woodland animal matryoshkas instead.
Here's the Jesus matroyshkas:

I wasn't searching for Jesus nesting toys. I happened onto it while looking for fun matryoshkas.

Pretty creepy.

(50,747 posts)My mother-in-law has about a dozen different nativity scenes. I think the most insane looking one was Native American themed.
She thinks (incorrectly) that each of her grand-daughters would like one!

(11,407 posts)They need to add more blood and maybe some guts and blue lips, pale skin. To really get the look of a tortured and dead Jesus he needs blood dripping down his face, agony on his face, more like that Mel Gibson movie.
That little happy sleeping Jesus doesn't give off that tortured, slowly murdered and hung up for everyone to mock vibe.
Bloody Christians really soft pedal all the torture of their magical being.
