Not so much as a question but some possible advice. As someone from the south as I see you say you were or might be from Texas, please keep it to yourself for a bit when it comes to close friends and or family that may hold christian and conservative values. Telling my parents and anyone who asked about my beliefs and me being an atheist around the same age as you, led to some of the worst trauma ill always have to live with. Youll find comfort in others and people who share common interests with you as you grow older.
Also im genuinely so sorry you had to go through with this lmfaoooo

I told my son when he was 6 that there was no such thing as Santa or the Easter Bunny. I didn't want to continue to lie to the person I love most. His response, "Well, at Christmas, I saw that 'santa' had used the same wrapping paper for me and Lauren and Matthew (his cousins), and then I knew it wasn't real, but is it okay, if we don't tell other the grownups, because I like getting the presents?"

It was fun, it was magical, it made for wonderful memories. Childhood is over too soon, and you might as well pack it with as much joy as you can. So we did the same for our kids. And the "Santa" wrapping paper was kept out of sight in the attic.
