"The Alt-Right Playbook"

This is one in an entertaining and informative series of videos, worth a watch if you have some time to kill. But I am posting a link to this one in particular because if you generalize the message of the video (so that it's not just about political positions but ANY kind of discussion), you might be better able to recognize that the person you are arguing with (about religion, for instance!) won't give you a clear answer to "what exactly do you believe?", because doing so would reveal they don't actually believe in whatever they might be spewing at the moment. They're insincere, and likely just trolling. They might want to flip 180 degrees on the next thread, just to be an asshole. Or maybe just to keep you engaged on some pointless diversion so that you aren't talking about the faults in religion anymore. Mission accomplished.

That's what interesting about these tactics - they are very fluid and hard to distinguish sometimes. That has a lot to do with how effective they can be.
