Jesus Showed Up at a Korean Pride Parade to Counter His Bigoted Followers
July 17, 2017 by Hemant Mehta

At the Seoul pride parade over the weekend, Jesus appeared with sign in hand to offer an alternative religious message.

As much as I love their signs, there’s something odd about these Jesii basically saying, “The Bible is still true… just not the way those people are interpreting it.” The anti-LGBTQ bigotry is almost always faith-based. Following Jesus isn’t the solution when the people protesting the parade would say that’s exactly what they’re doing.

Rant aside, this is awesome. There’s no reason this can’t happen at every pride parade to counter the haters.

You really can't get around the fact that the Bible says that homosexuality is wrong. It also endorses slavery and a whole host of other things. So why anyone - even liberal Christians who welcome homosexuals - would ever look to it as a source of morality is beyond me.

but is Korea known to be homophobic? Or is this just some fundies who happen to also be Korean?
