A few months ago, Arizona State Rep. Athena Salman delivered a secular invocation on the floor of the House, only to be chastised by a Republican representative who then gave his own Christian invocation… you know, to show his female colleague how it was done.

1. Of course her conservative peers were outraged by her invocation.

She's intruding on their domain and we just can't have that. Women need to remember their place, it says so in the bible. If we want to call on an invisible deity to damn the gays or women who have abortions that's perfectly acceptable, but dog forbid we step out of line and challenge long held religious beliefs.
