But the ones who really scare me are the people who, when asked how they will feel if they are in heaven and know that some of their friends or loved ones are burning in hell, reply with confidence that they'll feel great about it because that's god's plan.

Most (like my parents) don't take that fire and brimstone view. It's usually a liberal, kind of convoluted, not so medieval way of looking at it.

But there are some - like the guy who posted the pic - that revel in the knowledge that Revenge God is going to send his own people to an eternal pit a damnation! I avoid them at the family reunions.
