Religion in the Comics - 52



This gem comes from True Comics, #30, cover dated December 1943. Writer and Artist unknown by me.










I wonder if the writer was aware of the common thread in all his examples. It's all about religion and which side you're on. Religion is either the oppressor or the oppressed, or both.

And isn't Trump doing a good job of utilizing this trick?

what we were doing to Japanese-Americans.

Though I do think for the time, it is progressive in calling out a lot of prejudice.

But you are right, religion is behind most of it.
