our "tolerant" religious brethren perceive the word quite differently than its intended meaning I find. They also aren't quite clear on what persecution or a war on religion actually mean either.

It is quite amusing to be told I have to show some respect for their views while simultaneously being told they have no respect for my views because their fairy tale tells them they don't have to respect us heathen infidels...I know it's redundant but it's a fun word usage anyway.

3. Well, Christians are persecuted.

ISIS is actually killing them off in brutal ways. There are places where Christians are treated in horrible ways. But that is not here in the USA, and it is not being done to anyone who is posting on this site.

They need a reality check.

true enough, but ISIS kills pretty much anyone that's not ISIS unless they are enslaving them. Christians are just another variety of infidel for ISIS.

Radical islam is a truly murderous belief system.
