'We will pursue our manifest destiny into the stars.' President Trump wants astronauts to raise the American flag on Mars

"Americans are explorers, builders, innovators, entrepreneurs and pioneers. The spirit of the frontier is written into our hearts," Trump says.

President Donald Trump wants to lead the United States to Mars.

After taking the oath of office to be sworn in as the 47th U.S. president on Monday (Dec. 20), Trump laid out his vision for the next four years in an inauguration speech that called for a return to American expansionism and exploration.

"My message to Americans today is that it is time for us to once again act with courage, vigor and the vitality of histo- cliry's greatest civilization," Trump said during his speech inside the Capitol rotunda. "The United States will once again consider itself a growing nation, one that increases our wealth, expands our territory, builds our cities, raises our expectations and carries our flag into new and beautiful horizons. And we will pursue our manifest destiny into the stars, launching American astronauts to plant the stars and stripes on the planet Mars."

World on fire here, and he wants a dick-waving photo-op on a planet ferociously hostile to life, at a cost of trillions of dollars.

What a crock of shit.

That imbecile can barely read the label on a Big Mac, he has no idea what manifest destiny is. He doesn't write any of his statements or speeches, and he certainly doesn't understand three-syllable words. Obviously he's just parroting Elon's fantasies.
