Primordial soup

A religious acquaintance is vehemently against the idea of life arising from primordial soup.

Rather than take an early scientific potshot, I posted a nice galactic image.

Meanwhile, here in DU, i thought i would post and see what turns up.

When I cook the soup, I leave out the mastodons, but always cook over hydrothermal vents.

it could have equally come from a later attempt but I believe my Italian ancestors first brewed the soup that started life. I know it because even primitive fossils smell of oregano and garlic.

because they know the earth is the center of the universe and everything rotates around them, including the sun and stars.

Such people want the rock hard certainty of revealed religion. You will never get them to visit the shifting sands of scientific inquiry.
