US admits Hamas toughens positions, adding non-starters

“Hamas has been putting some things on the table that have been complete nonstarters [regarding] the exchange, and they’re different than what was agreed months ago,” he said. “Until that is worked out, you’re not going to have a deal," the official told reporters in a briefing. An Israeli source confirmed that Hamas was making new demands regarding the release of convicted murderers.

Hamas: No need for new Gaza ceasefire, hostage deal proposal.

Hamas said on Thursday there was no need for new ceasefire proposals for Gaza and pressure should be put on Israel to agree to a US plan that the terror group had already accepted.

The United States was expected to present a new truce proposal aimed at breaking an impasse between Hamas and Israel.

In a statement, Hamas said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought to thwart an agreement by insisting that Israel would not withdraw from the Philadelphi corridor in southern Gaza.

“We warn against falling into Netanyahu's trap and tricks, as he uses negotiations to prolong the aggression against our people,” the statement said.

Hamas is prolonging "aggression against our people" because they don't want Netanyahu to prolong aggression against their people (whom, BTW they don't give a shit about).

Brilliant!
