Since the October 7 Hamas massacre of over 1,200 people in Israel, Hamas supporters and other antisemitic actors have threatened and targeted Jewish and Israeli individuals and institutions worldwide. Below is a select list of antisemitic incidents outside of Israel with an apparent connection to the events in Israel, as well as several country-specific statistics. Argentina: In January 2024, there more than 100 reported antisemitic incidents, representing a 600% increase compared to January 2023.
Australia: According to the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, as of 12/15 there has been a 738% increase in antisemitic incidents.

Brazil: According to the CONIB, which tracks antisemitism in Brazil, there was a 961% increase during the month of October in comparison to the previous year.
Denmark: In 2023, the Jewish community registered 121 antisemitic incidents, including 20 death threats, the highest number since WWII. In 2022, there were only 9 incidents.

Toronto, Canada
A man smashed a menorah. In a separate incident, protestors called for intifada outside a Toronto synagogue.
Montevideo, Uruguay
A doll depicting a Jewish women with a Star of David and a spear piercing her forehead was displayed during a march for International Women's Day
Paris, France
A Jewish man was stabbed six times by a man making antisemitic remarks.

(24,572 posts)I am guessing, many of these criminals are less concerned with the Palestinians and more seizing an opportunity to act out their anti-Semitic hate.
Others, I just see the Rwandan Genocide in 1994 and think of Voltaire's line, "In an avalanche no snowflake ever feels responsible."
