I'm not at DU much now . . . but its a habit to read his posts in the morning.

He knows my family background. He's also helped me to find my voice when confronted with direct Antisemitism.

People don't look at me and assume who my Grampa's parents were - and the efforts his mother (my Mutti) went to - to make certain I had exposure to my "natural/inborn" faith.

3. Here I is!

I was on a "break" and also was spending time with my family, including my husband and I taking a much-needed vacation to Washington, DC. We went to the Holocaust Museum, the African-American History Museum, and the National Zoo. We did some sightseeing and ate at some really good restaurants, so midland ones too. LOL!

It was the first time my entire family had been together in 10 years! So, I was mainly spending time with them. I also got to surprise one of my best friends on her actual birthday, and surprised another who was preforming a drag show. I also hadn't seen them in ten years!

I took my tablet with me, but turns out, I SUCK (and not in the good way) at using a tablet and trying to post articles and the like, so I mainly just read, but usually I wasn't on for more than a few minutes, and sometimes, wasn't on for a few days.

Anyway, I am back and plan to start posting again soon.
