Just realized, something 'else' about Ukraine:

In 1905, Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman living in the Ukrainian village of Anatevka, a typical shtetl in the Pale of Settlement of Imperial Russia, compares the lives of the Jews of Anatevka to a fiddler on the roof.

“Fiddler on the Roof” is based on Tevye and his Daughters (or Tevye the Dairyman) and other tales by Sholem Aleichem .

State sponsored terrorism. His mother was Russian-speaking
Probably would have favored the Russians over the Ukrainians. I’ve never had the warm and fuzzies for Ukraine, but they’re a fledgling democracy, learning westward. I’m hoping they are able to survive.
