Could drumpf be the Antichrist?
I admit to possessing only the most basic grasp of Christianity, consider myself more spiritual than religious, and piecing my beliefs from bits, that make sense to me of all faiths, barring the Mormons and Scientologists, both of whom I regard as sideshow freaks. Another story for another day.
I recall in the early Obama days the talk among the rabid bible thumpers, an aunt being one, of Obama being the Antichrist. I had not yet, in those days, begun my search for some substantial personal handle on spirituality. It struck me as odd that a man who, by all appearances, was working for and toward the greater good. He wasn't starving children or inflicting all manner of misery and suffering, as the "sunday school" version in my mind of the Antichrist would be doing, so I sort of put that all on a back burner in my mind. Til now.
Now we have a madman in the oval office, who claims to be a Christian, yet knows less of the faith than I do and adheres to none of Christs teachings. In fact, most of the time, he seems hellbent on doing the exact opposite, and has other prominent "Christians" affording full support.
So now, with my recently discovered curiosity, I googled Antichrist. Shockingly, as I read the definition http://www.biblestudytools.com/dictionary/antichrist/ , it describes drumpf almost to a tee. At least as I read it.
I haven't seen this topic anywhere else and can't help but wonder if my thread title is off the mark? Can drumpf be the guy?

(31,433 posts)with my dad about Hitler. We had relatives in Germany who were very devout. They tried to stay under the radar. Some of them were convinced that Hitler was the anti-Christ. I understand why they felt that way.
My dad was religious. He did not agree or disagree with our older relatives about the end times. He simply expressed understanding for their views.

(1 post)The Evangelical prophecy teachers are wrong. There's no such teaching in the Bible about a coming false messiah or "Antichrist".
The beast or "man of lawlessness", as he's appropriately called in the Scriptures, is NOT one man. He is that race/nationality of man who descended from Cain. Cain, as you may or may not know, was the first murderer. He murdered his half brother Abel.
And so it is with the beast or man of lawlessness in these last days, which the Bible talks about. They are murdering their brethren in record numbers.

(28,270 posts)Now that Trump is pResdient and I see his right hand man Bannon give an interview in the white house praising Satan and so called prophets and evangelical christian leaders lay hands on Trump and pray/praise him after he denies Christ and after Trump's followers choose Trump over Jesus...I realize Satan will have zero problems installing his beast in "Christian" America.
And..he may have already done it.
Steve Bannon: 'Darkness is good'

Washington (CNN)Steve Bannon has no regrets.
The ex-Breitbart executive, who serves as Trump's chief strategist for the new administration, told The Hollywood Reporter that "darkness is good."
"Dick Cheney. Darth Vader. Satan. That's power. It only helps us when they (liberals) get it wrong. When they're blind to who we are and what we're doing," he said in an interview published Friday, his first outside of Breitbart since the election.

Trump on God: 'I don't like to have to ask for forgiveness'
Maxwell Tani Jan. 17, 2016
After months of reflection, Donald Trump says he still doesn't regret his decision not to ask God for forgiveness for his sins.
In an interview on Sunday with CNN, the Republican presidential frontrunner said that he does not regret never asking God for forgiveness, partially because he says he doesn't have much to apologize for.
"I have great relationship with God. I have great relationship with the Evangelicals," Trump said in the interview before pivoting to his poll numbers among Evangelical voters.

Who Would You Trust: Trump or Jesus?
A question for our times.
BY JACK HOLMES NOV 20, 2017
Look, it's not breaking new ground at this point to suggest Donald Trump's base has cultish tendencies. But it's still amazing sometimes to hear the extent to which Trump's supporters will stick with the president no matter what.
This morning on CNN's New Day, for example, one Trump-supporting panelist offered that if Jesus Christ told him Trump colluded with Russia, he'd still defer to the president on whether or not it was true. This would suggest he trusts the Word of Trump over the Word of God.
