Thanks to a long-running PR campaign based on misinformation, politics, and general hatred of anyone who's not *just like them.* "Other" is scary to them, as is "thinking."

We are not only out there but we are active. it is an embarrassment to realize that when people think of Christians they usually think of right-wing ultra-conservatives. We need to do a better job making the case that we are historically at the heart of faith and are currently active. I suggest we can make that case on the new religion forum--and just duck the stuff that will be thrown at us.

......have hurt the Christian message more than anything since the Crusades. Those who do not know anyone who is religious and liberal just think those people represent everyone. Makes me sad and mad.
