(20,546 posts)It does taste better after the Feastday. Mb there's a scientific 'splanation. 🤔😊
A Happy and Joyous Bright Week! 💚

We went to church once a year at Easter. Parents took the Salo and Paska to be blessed.
Just a cool religious passage.
Means nothing to me. Just a neat episode from my childhood.
Sad. Hope it continues for whatever reason.

(20,546 posts)My paternal 'baba', my mom would do the full tilt Pascha food basket. I used to go beyond full tilt. No more unfortunately. Life took pieces of me the last decade. I looked to simplify life. Even tho I have, stuff creeps in.
You could bring a loaf of egg bread from a bakery, a salt shaker and a tub of real butter in a plastic container with a cloth in it. Doesn't need to be elaborate. Our community is asked to share their blessed goodies with all. I don't know what it is about the Paschal [yes, I do] experience, it's like no other.
You expressed it as a cool religious passage.🤗
Paschal Peace be unto you! 💚
