I was taught by Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur grades 1-12, and was so well prepared for college, and still as an elder believe I reflect their training.

I don't think I knew Sr. Micki, though, because, as far as I know, all those who taught me are long since deceased.

In Reading, Ohio- just north of Cincinnati- the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur have a retirement home and care facility for their own sisters and nuns of other orders. I don't imagine Sr. Micki was there, but, if so, know that she received wonderful care.

She had just moved from her apartment to the home in October. We knew she was having some issues, but thought she would fail mentally before physically. This was probably better for her, as I can't imagine her frustration as her mind began to fail. From the folder of her poetry we found in her storage trunk, we learned more about her and how intense her love for God was and still is. The funeral mass was at the chapel and burial at the cemetery across the street.

Thank you, I know she is at peace now.

What was her name in religious life before they returned to their baptismal/family names?
