The Health forum contacted me about a post that didn't

fit their usual discussions, and asked if it would be appropriate for us.
I said that we would welcome things sent to us, but we might not choose to respond if the subjects did not interest us.

Just wanted to give you a heads up in case some unusual things come our way.

They should not call it the health forum, they should call it the pharmaceutical protection forum or something like that.

to protect their members, and are operating from that point of view, but the only thing I think we should really be protective about here, is someone who comes in to bully or demean our group members. If someone is just bringing information, I am fine with that. We're adults, and we can decide for ourselves.

I learned a long time ago that someone else's "woo-woo" can be my deep truth. Tart cherry concentrate IS helping manage my chronic pain. Someone else would call that nonsense. I'd hate for someone to not get information that could improve their life because of censorship.

7. So, how can we keep things civil here if they come and demean us?

Do you have the power to remove offensive posts?

you mean someone who wanders in and is rude, this group really is excellent at gently telling people that this group is a haven and that we don't speak to each other that way. Hosts CAN also lock threads and block disruptive posters, but I would warn them before I did so.

You also have the alert option, but that brings in a site-wide jury to decide about a post. Posts aren't really deleted anymore, unless the poster self deletes. They stay hidden, but readable if the jury votes to hide them.

Health Forum (? - is it now a group? I don't think so.) .. well rats. I suggest putting trouble makers on ignore.
Many of them hang out over there to boast and gloat. It is so much more pleasant when you don't even see the disturbance.

10. Regarding tart cherry juice, I've been reading that it's also good for cancer treatment.

11. I was not aware of that. I'm glad that you mentioned it.

I'm way goofy today. When I read "aptosis" my mind made the crazy connection of "Death by Cherry" to "Death by Chocolate" ice cream. Sweet tooth is engaged today.

I did a bit of nutrition and cancer reasearch a few years back when I was sick, and I don't remember seeing any references to cherry at the time. Maybe my joint pain regime will be a nice assist against having to relive that process again.
