Chocolate bunnies say: Bite me!
Ooh, it was a rough day today. Too much labor, lightning strikes all around me, and an introduction to a Drama Queen who thought she would ruffle this old bird's feathers when I had miles yet to fly.
Instead, I ended up watching her squirm and shake and mottle red and try to explain herself. And I was being kind.
Then I find out she's the girlfriend of an important client.
Then it starts pouring rain.
I drive home and check the mail and there is some ASAH Love in there!
So I am biting the bunnies' little ears off and sighing and glad the day is over.
Bite me indeed!

And having the dearest friends helps, too.

(14,084 posts)i actually really like the easter services... so ya, it's all good...even though this week was pretty much a wash as far as work, and the kids have next week off and that will be another chore...oh well...
we usually do crazy stuff when 'magical' beings come to visit...leprechauns play pranks, santa leaves big footprints from the ashes of the fireplace, etc...
this year, they are getting older and questioning more...
I was thinking of putting jelly beans in the toilet and saying the Easter Bunny forgot to flush!

(18,186 posts)We used to spend Easter in Connecticut with the cousins. One cousin and I would get up extra early and "re-hide" all the baskets just to mess with our parents and fellow sibs/cousins.
It was always fun to watch our mothers squelch the desire to say, "But I KNOW I hid her basket under the piano!" because then they would have to explain why the Big Bunny didn't do the actual work. And we'd wait a while to find ours, just to throw everybody off.
WE were rotten kids......
I hope you and your darlings have a wonderful Easter and that next week doesn't do you in.
Oh! I'm voteing for the jellybelly poo!!!!
I'm going to steal it to use on the "Howletts"

I've got about a third of it left after giving most of it away. If I could figure out a way to ship to y'all without ruining it, I would

(29,414 posts)also fed me yesterday. I wasn't very hungry, though. That's what standing around baking all day will do (at least to me.) So, now I've got some of their mother's recipe for lentil soup to eat
And leftover cake
Oh, I did find that a little bit of Contreau to a slice adds a nice orange flavor and that extra "punch" to it. I might have to make up some kind of decorating sauce that uses it

(18,186 posts)At one bakery where I worked I made an orange/chocolate chip cake which was basically poundcake with added orange zest/orange extract and mini gourmet chocolate chips.
I think I would like some now....my friend is doing badly in the hospital and I am sort of in shock but trying to stay busy til seeing him tomorrow. Next 24 hours are critical - like, life or death.
So chocolate and orange sounds comforting as hell....thanks for adding to the thread kentauros and send some vibes toward Nashville.

Your vibes are much appreciated and he was doing very well - considering all he's been through - this morning.
