The Grand Trine
From "Livingmoonastrology.com"... "
The Planets involved instead determine which psychic functions have been activated by the configuration. In this case we have a complex blend of Venus (cooperation, attraction, creativity), Mars (assertion, action, courage), Jupiter (expansion, faith, search for meaning) and Pluto (transformation, depth, personal power), the overall dynamic of the configuration. You can see then that this could indeed be a very powerful configuration, generating energy for all sorts of projects and ventures, giving a boost to our social life, personal relationships, study, career, business, and, most importantly, giving all a real opportunity to change the perception we usually have about love, work, the way we tackle difficulties and confront obstacles. Plutos presence always implying an intense desire to change things in a radical way, getting rid of all that do not work anymore for us, to be more truthful with ourselves and others, even if it hurts; while Jupiter adds the personal confidence and faith in better things to come, attitudes that can greatly help to face difficulties. We could become, during this period (lasting a week or so) more resourceful, energetic and brave, feeling empowered to act by the difficulties we are facing rather than be passively overwhelmed by them. As I described it in a recent post on Venus Transit through Taurus, this configuration could encourage, in many of us, a renewal of confidence in self and life. "

(15,888 posts)It's a shame he split arart with Neil Young. You can almost hear where he is coming from, but Neil said it all loud and clear. Sorry unionworks, I like Steven Stills, don't Love his works. As for the planetary aspects, I either read up on it or wait until Ric replays on it. Nothing personal, I just trust certain souces.

(3,794 posts)but, he has the incredible combination of 1945 where Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune were together and gave us phenomenal masters like Neil Young, Van Morrison and David Gilmour.
That combo was in musial Libra which gave us such wonders.
The same combo was around 2 years ago, but was in Aquarius. Those children will grow up to be phenomenal.
Stills is magnificent but no one can compare the Scorpionic magic/muse/intensity of Young.
ps The nature of the grand trine stated above is pretty right on.

(3,574 posts)...for the replys! Actually the commentary is meant to. Apply to the Grand Trine we aretransiting through right now. I tacked on the Stills because it seemed to fit. I once heard a beautiful extended version of this song that went into the astrological makeup of CS&N as revolving around a romance - Judy Collins,or Joni Mitchell, perhaps? I don't believe it is on any record. Back then, bands often released promotional material for DJs to play... lost forever.

(4,225 posts)I always heard it was Judy Collins.
I LOVE Crosby Stills and Nash Before Young!!!!
Young wrote some excellent songs.....But when he is good he is VERY Good when he is bad his singing is WHINING that I find very hard to listen too.
Judy Collins. Joni was with Nash.

(4,225 posts)I love that song!!!!
...is a tremendous song but not the one I'm thinking of. Before CS&N was formed, Crosby and Nash tested the waters by releasing a couple of duets under aliases. This was to avoid legal hassles. I was fortunate enough to hear one of these. The song to which I refer has CS%N singing about astrological sign, one at a time. In mid lyric, Crosby breaks off and Stills continues, breaking off and Nash picks up. It was to give you a feel of the continuity of the wheel, and continuity also as in tantric mandela. If I ever find it again I will post it. Don't hold your breath.

(3,574 posts)...of the Rolling Stones said he would have quit the Stones to play in Manassus. He didn't have to, he is on the Mannasus lp.
Bluestar
(1,400 posts)Not sure, but I think it was on an old album I had.
"The great mandela" was Peter, Paul and Mary". Whatever it was, it is lost in the mists of time...
unionworks
(3,574 posts)The tune I am thinking of wasn't CS&N, but Stills by himself doing the broken lyric thing. It may be on "Manassus", as that is the last album I immersed myself in. Bill wyman of the Stones appears on "Manassus".
